Other sales – Refund/Credit
Located on the Home screen, the Other Sales button opens a new layer of buttons giving the user a selection of options to carry out a specific function, the Other Sales button selection includes Estimate, Transfer, Account Sale, Refund/Credit and Exchange.
From the home page, got to Other Sales > Refund/Credit
- Enter the Sales Order number for the refund, if you do not have the SO number, use Customer Enquiries, then the Sales History Button to locate the sale. If the customer has not been searched prior, the system will ask to change it
- If the credit a full credit, enter Y in the Full Refund field, and N for a part refund.
- Enter a reason code or select from the Look up Table.
Note: If the Refund is a previous Merlin invoice, use the Lookup to select Merlin, enter the customer details and a reason Into the Refund Details Screen,
- With the home screen now in refund mode, the items from the refund sale will now be visible if it is a full Credit/Refund, if it is a part refund or Merlin Credit, the Part number needs to be entered into the POS Enter Item Field to allow processing of the Credit.
- Select the method of payment, Charge Account, EFT or Cash for the refund, confirm the amount, and process the refund accordingly.
The Refund is now complete
