Reallocate committed stock from a Sales Order
(Note) this new functionality only works with stores that generate a sales order and commit stock when a booking is made, we are recommending all stores not currently generating sales orders on a booking switch to committing stock on a booking.
The status of the sales order must be at status 20-On Hold, or status 30-Ready for Picking, otherwise it will not work.
The new functionality firstly relies on the stock that is committed, was showing On Hand when the Sales Order was created by way of a Booking or an Estimate that has been checked out to POS,
All the below scenarios using the new Reallocate function can now reallocate the items from a current Sales Order with On Hand committed stock to a new Sales Order.
Single Items
You have made a booking for a Commodore for front 8464L & Rs, and only have one of each physically on the shelf, these items are now committed to the Booking/Sales Order, then you take an inquiry for the same items which have already been committed on the Booking. You can now reallocate the items from the current Sales Order with committed stock to a new Sales Order
Part of Kit BOM on Back Order
You have a GVM or Lift Kit booked in which commits stock on hand to the Booking/Sales Order, then when you check out to POS and validate your On Hand items by doing Ship All, you find one or more items are on Backorder, but you know that they are physically on hand, but they are committed on another Sales Order. You can now reallocate the items from the current Sales Order with committed stock to a new Sales Order
All of BOM on Back Order
You have a GVM or Lift Kit booked in which commits stock on hand to the Booking/Sales Order, then when you check out to POS and validate your On Hand items by doing Ship All, you find all items are on Backorder, but you know that they are physically on hand and are committed on another Booking/Sales Order. You can now reallocate the items from the current Sales Order with committed stock to a new Sales Order
Start a new Sale in Point of Sale, Items show on Back Order
You open a new sale in Point of Sale and enter an item code to find the item is showing on Backorder, but you have them physically On Hand, and they are committed on another sales Order. You can now reallocate the items from the current Sales Order with committed stock to a new Sales Order
Instructions Below, and also see the attached video.
Please note, that reallocation only works with a Sales Order that has a shipped quantity (On Hand), the Ship All lines button must only be used to determine the Sales Order items On Hand before using Reallocate Functionality, DO NOT use Ship All lines at any time after a reallocation has been carried out, it will break the Sales Order and item commitments.
The Item line, BOM line, or Kit header line must be highlighted to do the reallocation.
Note: Images are from our dev, the line colours are different.

Note: if the quantity is more than 1, you can use two sales orders to reallocate and get the quantity you need.
The Sales order status must be lower than 30 - Ready For Picking; typically status 20 - Hold for attention would have the committed stock
