Select Purchase Orders on your main Menu, and then Enter Purchase Orders
Enter the Supplier Code, RELRA (Reliable as an example)
The Order Type: R (Goods Return)
Note: The Original PO Field can be left blank which will require input of Items being Returned, try to use the original PO number to reproduce pricing and the parts list.
Enter a reference into the Notes Field, (this is a mandatory field) then select Lines from the top menu,
Click OK.
Then Enter your part number on the lines screen, the Quantity should be entered as a positive, the system will change it.
When you click Lines, you will be asked if it’s a full return or a partial Return.
If full is selected, skip ahead to Section 2.
If you are wanting to do a partial Return you will have a screen that displays the list of parts that you are wanting to return.
In the action column, change the parts you want to return to R and confirm the quantity.
Once Entered, Select Quit, or hit Q
Confirm the R status and click ok.
Select Print Order & Finish. And confirm the date.
Press escape, and the new PO Return will be in Maintain Purchase Orders, It should have the status as Ready to Return.
Select Update and follow the bath prompt.
Go to Accounts Payable > Supplier Transactions > Fast Supplier Invoice Entry
Confirm the Date.
Enter the Supplier Code and select “R” – Good Return. Press enter.
Enter the Credit Note number, confirm the date and select the Purchase Order Return order number.
Confirm the amount.
Enter the Credit Note number at the bottom (you may notice, that if you entered this to a PO with an original PO the Invoice Details have changed to the original invoice)
Click OK.
Confirm the GST and click OK.
Hit Enter to complete the line on your main Invoices Screen. Press ESC once, and then Post.
Once completed you will receive a batch control totals screen
