ZPZ Items - Create a new ZPZ item
ZPZ Item Creation
ZPZ Items should be predominately used for Non Pedders Items that are stocked and sold regularly, whilst continuing to use the generic PZ system to quickly sell Non Pedders Items.
It is important that the correct flags are set when creating a ZPZ item to accommodate Head Office reporting and Correct data in a Franchise Dataset, ensure to set up all defaults when creating the first ZPZ Item.
- From your PXI menu, go to Inventory > Maintain Inventory > Inventory Maintenance Enquiry.
(Save as a Favourite)
- Select Entry from the top menu, and enter the OE number into the Item Code field and hit Enter, the item code will now have a prefix of ZPZ,
- Enter the description of the Item Code and enter, the cursor will be now in the Group Field
- Use F2 or Lookup icon to open the option to use the Hierarchy Wizard, there is two options, if you select Yes, this allows you to select the class first and then the Group, if you select No to the Hierarchy Wizard, you can select the Group first and the Class will automatically be selected (See both scenarios below)
- Continue to enter through the Header screen, The Item type will default to S (Stocked Item), (It is highly recomended to use I - Indent item for all ZPZ items) if you require a different flag, use F2 or Lookup Icon to see the table of Item Types
enter C for the Class Field, ALL other fields on this page are not mandatory, a user may enter Item Dimensions if they choose to, when concluded you will be directed to the Supplier Details page.
NOTE: Item Costs are not entered on this page
- In the Supplier Details page enter the Item Code, then the description, continue to enter through the header screen and enter the Current Buy Price, continue to enter through until the Item price Maintenance Header screen is showing,
Note, a user may enter a lead time and other non-mandatory fields, see image.
- Once the supplier details are complete, use escape to open the Item Price Maintenance screen, enter through the fields and input the item cost including GST
- Enter through the Warehouse Detail screen, enter C in the ABC Class Field, all other defaults will auto fill, and Escape to complete the ZPZ creation process
