How to create Macro in Pronto

1. Click on the red round button on the top right, select “Macros”.



2. Click on the red dot to record a new macro.



3. On the next screen, hit  start recording the macro. Only keystrokes can be recorded.



4. Hit  F11 then type in the function code and hit "Enter" key. Please don’t click on the green “OK” by mouse. In this article, we take the user account search as an example.



5. Hit “F” key which is the shortcut key of “Find” menu, type in the user ID we want to look at, then hit “Enter” key. Again, please don’t click on the green “OK” by mouse.



6. On the next screen, hit “S” key which is the shortcut key of “Select” menu.




7. Click on “Save” button by mouse, give the macro a meaningful short name and hit “√” then “×” on the top right by mouse to finalise.








8. Every time click on “Ctrl + 3” which is the shortcut button to run this macro.


      Note: If the macro is used in multiple datasets, it should be run manually in all datasets.
