About communities

In Viva Engage, communities provide a central place for your conversations, files, events and updates. When you join a community, you can participate in that community's feed. For instructions, go to How to join communities

A padlock icon appears on the Join button for private communities. If the community is:

2. private, you’ll be added if the community administrator approves your request
3. public, you’ll be added right away.

Types of communities

There are default communities and optional communities, as outlined below.

If you request a new community, you will be the community administrator. For instructions, go to How to set up new communities

Default communities 

1. All Company – for official head office announcements to the Pedders network

5. General – default group for everyone
6. Brand and Marketing 
7. People and Development
8. Safety
9. GVM and Fleet

Optional communities 

9. Cars and Industry
10. Franchise Council – for current Franchise Council members
11. Head Office – for Pedders Head Office 
12. Pets of Pedders

3. Foodies

Join communities

1. Select the Communities tab.
2. When you find a community you want to be a part of, select the Join button. 
3. Add the community to your favourites, so it displays at the top of the communities list.

Set up new communities

Log a ticket via the support portal.
